Introductory Verses  -  2nd Peter 1:1-5a

     1:1a  Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle of Jesus Christ

     1:1b  to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours

     1:1c  by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:

     1:2  Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord;

     1:3a  seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness,

     1:3b  through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

     1:4a  For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises

     1:4b  in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature

     1:4c  having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

     1:5a  Now for this very reason, also, applying all diligence . . . supply
